“現(xiàn)代西方哲學(xué)”是為哲學(xué)專業(yè)的本科生開(kāi)設(shè)的必修課程。本課程選取自黑格爾之后到
20 世紀(jì)80年代之前的歐陸大陸哲學(xué)和英美分析哲學(xué)的重要流派為主要內(nèi)容。歐陸哲學(xué)方
面，從叔本華到尼采與克爾凱郭爾，從柏格森到實(shí)用主義的詹姆斯，最后都匯聚到以胡
塞爾、海德格爾為代表的德國(guó)現(xiàn)象學(xué)，進(jìn)而影響到以薩特、梅洛-龐蒂為代表的法國(guó)存在
主義現(xiàn)象學(xué)。英美分析哲學(xué)方面，從弗雷格到維也納學(xué)派再到維特根斯坦，從邏輯實(shí)證

主義到波普的證偽主義再到歷史主義學(xué)派，分別予以講授。
本課程力圖通過(guò)對(duì)這些哲學(xué)家之間既批判又繼承的復(fù)雜關(guān)系的分析中，使學(xué)生了解
現(xiàn)代西方哲學(xué)的發(fā)展脈絡(luò)，系統(tǒng)地理解和把握主要哲學(xué)流派及其代表性人物的主要思想，
并在對(duì)觀點(diǎn)論證與辨析的過(guò)程中使學(xué)生樹(shù)立問(wèn)題意識(shí)。引導(dǎo)學(xué)生結(jié)合課程學(xué)習(xí)，感受哲
學(xué)思考的魅力，陶冶學(xué)生的人文關(guān)懷并訓(xùn)練其理性思維能力。同時(shí)，該課程既結(jié)合哲學(xué)
家當(dāng)時(shí)的時(shí)代背景又立足于當(dāng)下的現(xiàn)實(shí)來(lái)闡釋相關(guān)哲學(xué)理論，可以加深理論的實(shí)踐應(yīng)用
性，在現(xiàn)實(shí)中思考理論的發(fā)展方向，開(kāi)闊學(xué)生的視野，使其適應(yīng)不斷發(fā)展的現(xiàn)社會(huì)的需

Modern Western Philosophy is a compulsory course for undergraduates majoring in
philosophy. This course mainly selects the important schools of Continental philosophy and
Anglo-American analytical philosophy from “After-Hegel” to the 1980s. In terms of
Continental philosophy, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche and Kierkegaard, Bergson and James,finally
converge to German phenomenology represented by Husserl and Heidegger, and then influence
French existentialist phenomenology represented by Sartre and Merleau-Ponty. When it comes

to Analytical philosophy, the following philosophers or the famous schools of philosophy will
be mentioned,from Frege to The Vienna School to Wittgenstein, from logical positivism to
Popper’s falsification and then to Historicism.
This course tries to make students understand the development of modern Western philosophy,
systematically understand and grasp the main ideas of major philosophical schools and their
representative figures through the analysis of the complex relationship between those
philosophers, and foster students’ consciousness of asking questions in the process of argument
anddiscrimination.Inaddition,thiscoursealsoaimsatcultivatingstudents'humanisticcareand
trainingtheirrationalthinkingability.Atthesametime,thiscoursenotonlycombinesthe
backgroundofthephilosopheratthattimebutalsobasesonthecurrentrealitytoexplainthe
relevantphilosophicaltheories,whichcandeepenthepracticalapplicationofthetheory,reflect
thedevelopmentdirectionofthetheoryinreality,broadenstudents’horizons,andmakethem
adapttotheneedsoftheconstantlydevelopingsociety
