家庭教育是培養(yǎng)人的重要場(chǎng)所,也是傳遞社會(huì)文化和經(jīng)驗(yàn)的一種主要方式,它在與孩子性格相聯(lián)系的思維模式和世界觀的形成過程中有著重要的作用。隨著我國(guó)改革開放的進(jìn)一步推進(jìn),經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)國(guó)際化的程度加深,英語作為全球經(jīng)濟(jì)文化交際的重要媒介,愈來愈受到社會(huì)的關(guān)注。在我國(guó),廣大家庭對(duì)孩子,特別是處于少兒時(shí)期的孩子的英語能力的培養(yǎng)也愈加受到重視,家長(zhǎng)們把孩子送到社會(huì)上的英語培訓(xùn)學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí),或者在家里由家長(zhǎng)對(duì)孩子的英語學(xué)習(xí)進(jìn)行指導(dǎo)。根據(jù)“少兒英語家庭教育理論與實(shí)踐研究”課題組對(duì)瀘州市范圍內(nèi)農(nóng)村、鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)和城市的6-13 歲的小學(xué)和初中部分學(xué)生的家長(zhǎng)進(jìn)行的抽樣調(diào)查結(jié)果看,家長(zhǎng)在對(duì)少兒英語進(jìn)行課外輔導(dǎo)中,存在諸多問題。如,家長(zhǎng)自身的英語水平較低,教育理論知識(shí)缺乏,教育觀念不妥,家長(zhǎng)在對(duì)子女學(xué)習(xí)英語動(dòng)機(jī)的引導(dǎo)中凸顯功利思想,家長(zhǎng)對(duì)少兒英語指導(dǎo)的方法不當(dāng),教學(xué)中的硬件條件較差等問題。
家庭是孩子學(xué)習(xí)的第一環(huán)境,父母是孩子的第一任老師家長(zhǎng)的教育觀念及其教育動(dòng)機(jī)能直接影響著孩子,所以家長(zhǎng)應(yīng)扭轉(zhuǎn)自己的教育觀念,采用科學(xué)的教育方法、正確的教育手段對(duì)幼兒進(jìn)行早期英語開發(fā)教育。教育方法、手段、途徑不當(dāng)。對(duì)孩子進(jìn)行早期英語教育是十分必要的,但是必須要采用合理、科學(xué)的教育方法,這就對(duì)家長(zhǎng)提出比較高的要求,有些家長(zhǎng)往往由于教育方法不當(dāng)而致使教育效果不理想。只注重實(shí)際的英語教育訓(xùn)練而忽視興趣的培養(yǎng)。 一些家長(zhǎng)不懂正確的科學(xué)教育方法及教育規(guī)律,卻出于望子成龍的心態(tài)盲目地給幼兒施加壓力,讓幼兒枯燥無味地進(jìn)行英語口語訓(xùn)練及反復(fù)的單詞識(shí)記,卻忽視了最重要的一點(diǎn)——興趣是最好的老師,殊不知“磨刀不誤打柴功”,興趣是幼兒進(jìn)行一切活動(dòng)的起點(diǎn)和動(dòng)力,是幼兒最好的老師,《論語》曰:“知之者不如好之者,好之者不如樂之者”,著名的教育學(xué)家福祿貝爾也曾說過“兒童就像饑渴的小苗需要水分和養(yǎng)料一樣,天然渴望在適宜的環(huán)境里自然而茁壯的成長(zhǎng),他們需要活動(dòng)的認(rèn)識(shí),需要興趣得到喚起和培植,他們要主動(dòng)的發(fā)展自己”。心理學(xué)家和教育學(xué)家一致認(rèn)為,一個(gè)人如果對(duì)某一事物產(chǎn)生了濃厚的興趣,便會(huì)自覺地去鉆研學(xué)習(xí),并使其以專注的精力、忘我的精神從事這一活動(dòng)。幼兒對(duì)英語有了興趣,便會(huì)覺得學(xué)習(xí)英語是一種樂趣而不是負(fù)擔(dān),這便真正達(dá)到了寓教于樂的教育目的,所以進(jìn)行英語教育活動(dòng)的最終效果很大程度上取決于幼兒對(duì)英語的興趣是否被喚起。
